Psalm 61
Overview
61:1 David flees to God upon his former experience;
61:4 He vows perpetual service unto him, because of his promises.

Instead of neginath, many manuscripts, have neginoth; and two manuscripts, supply mizmor, "a Psalm." Some suppose this Psalm was composed when David was driven by Absalom's rebellion beyond Jordan, and from the sanctuary of God.
